Our eye exams

At Uvée we offer comprehensive eye exams tailored to your needs from Monday to Saturday. Every day, an optometrist is on site for you. In addition to eye exams, we offer contact lens fitting, dry eye evaluation, screening for conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, retinal check for high myopes (-4.00 and above) or patients with a family history of macular degeneration. Please contact us to learn more about our services.

An eye exam usually lasts between 30 and 45 minutes, but we reserve a 45-minute slot in our schedule to take as much time as necessary with you. To find out how often you should have an eye exam, you can refer to the website of the Association des Optométristes du Québec.

The fee for a complete examination is $120* and includes the fundus photo (a picture of your retina). Additional fees may apply depending on the tests performed. Please note that eye exams are covered by the RAMQ from 0 to 17 years old inclusively and from 65 years old and over. Also, for children 17 years of age and under, the financial assistance program Better Seeing for Success offers a $300 reimbursement following the purchase of glasses or contact lenses. You will find the details on this page of the RAMQ.

In order to be well prepared for your eye exam, please bring with you if applicable: your most recent glasses, your medication list and RAMQ card.
