Tips for using and taking care of your glasses

Here are some recommendations that will serve to keep your glasses for a long time:

Try not to put them on your head, this will gradually widen them and affect their fit.

Ideally, the glasses should be handled with both hands to avoid twisting the frame.

To avoid scratches on the lenses, do not slip them into a pocket or bag without a glasses case.

You also have to be careful with the heat! If you leave them near a heat source (in the car, opening the door of a oven/dishwasher, spa/sauna), the lens treatments could crack and the vision will be blurred and dazzling.

For cleaning, use eyeglass solution or warm water with mild soap. Then, lather with your fingers and dry with a tissue paper (no lotion). Finally finish cleaning with the microfiber cloth. To avoid scratches on the lenses, do not use regular fabrics such as the end of a shirt and do not wipe with a peice of dry cloth.

Also, avoid using household products or aerosols on the lenses so as not to damage the treatments.

And There you go! We hope this helps you keep your glasses in good condition for a long time!

Warranty

VISION

A one month guarantee on your visual comfort is offered to you following the manufacturing of lenses at Uvée with your new prescription. Ideally, you should have worn your new prescription regularly for about 2 weeks to give yourself a chance to adapt. If you are still having difficulties adapting after this period, we will be happy to reanalyze all the parameters of your eyewear and recheck the prescription if necessary. If modifications are necessary, they will be made free of charge, under warranty.

Frame

Beyond the legal one-year warranty on manufacturing defects, our suppliers often offer more flexible warranties. In each case, we contact our suppliers with photos. If the warranty claim is approved and the frame or part is available, we offer a replacement at no charge.

LENses

All of our high-end coating lenses come with a 2 year replacement on manufacturing defects. Any surface scratches (not felt with a fingernail on the lens) or cracks in the coating will also be replaced once per lens for the first two years after your purchase.

Kids

Our specialized lenses for children under 16 years old offer a 15 month lens replacement for causes like scratches, breakage or prescription changes. Since growth affects vision and eye exams are recommended and covered every year for children, you will be exempt from buying lenses about every other time!

Do not hesitate to schedule an appointment with one of our opticians to evaluate the condition of your glasses and confirm that the replacement is covered by your warranty.
